How Mom shots got started
When my first child was born I knew I wanted to capture the moments as she grew. My husband and I love incredible images so we just couldn't settle for those old cell phone cameras and even a point & shoot wasn't quite satisfying us. We studied the art of capturing light through our first Nikon DSLR and loved it. Quickly we began getting requests for shooting portraits and birthday parties and eventually weddings! We shot this way for a few years and upgraded our equipment to keep up with the growing demand.
We eventually hung up the cameras to spend more time with the kids IN the moments, rather than through a lens...THEN sports happened. When our kids first got into sports we wanted those "magazine quality" images showcasing them how we see them, as Super Stars! We decided to share this feeling with the other kids on the teams and needed a place to put them online so we started the Mom Shots page on Facebook. We have since outgrown that platform and are excited to offer a new and improved format!
