I'm so done w/ point and shoot. I have the Sony Cybershot and it can take beautiful outdoor pictures, but really sucks inside w/ low light. I'm waiting for the day....my SLR day.....

I finally wrote a review of my point-and-shoot camera, the Canon SD1000. I'd be glad to let you post it on MomShots, but it might not be relevant anymore. I'm pretty sure the SD1000 has been replaced by the SD1100. Anyhow, I linked it on this post if you want to read it. Once I get to know my Rebel XS more, I'd be glad to share my thoughts on it as well.

I've always been a Nikon girl. However, I bought a Sony Cybershot several years ago and then bought the upgraded model for use at school. I compared it to one of the other teachers Nikon Coolpix and I actually liked the little Cybershot better. Sorry Nikon Coolpix!
The Cybershot has a Carl Zeiss lens and takes excellent little shots. I say little because it's a little camera. Ha.

I'm a Pentax girl. I've loved my k100D for the nearly two years I've had it and I'm about to upgrade to the K20D. Pentax offers a lot of camera for about half the price of the bigger companies. Another nice thing about Pentax is that even the newest DSLRs are compatible with any Pentax lens ever made, although you will obviously give up some or all of the automated functions on using an old lens. Also, their optics rock my world.

I also have an Optio W30 for my knock around point-and-shoot and underwater camera.
