Tip of the Week - Email Me

This is going to be a really, really, really quick tip!

If you have been following along on any of our past Tips Of the Week, and you are using a FULL VERSION of PHOTOSHOP, then you may have realized that the majority of them are created with PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS users in mind.

Now, you could whine and complain about how things aren’t working, or the directions really stink, but the fact is that PHOTOSHOP (any full version i.e. PS 7 CS CS2 CS3 etc.) is a totally different beast. It will do the same tasks as PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS (and so much more), but you have to know the work arounds on how to tame that FULL VERSION PHOTOSHOP beast!

And here is the TIP, shoot me an email
tye@DurbinDigital.com
put MOMSHOTS in the subject line of the email and let me know that you are a FULL VERSION PHOTOSHOP user! If I receive a good response from YOU (the reader) than I will be adding a FULL VERSION work through for ALL future T*O*Ws!

*EXAMPLE* There is a major difference from PHOTOSHOP to ELEMENTS with GROUPING. For example, when a tutorial states CTRL+G to group layers, it is referring to the ELEMENTS VERSION of PHOTOSHOP. The FULL VERSION for grouping 2 layers is to make sure the layers you want to group are stacked on top of each other in the layers panel then go up into the LAYER MENU and choose GROUP WITH PREVIOUS. Therefore, when you use the CTRL+G shortcut in the FULL VERSION you are creating LAYER GROUPS (this puts the layers into a folder which is then referred to as a layer group) and not actually GROUPING the layers.

Hopefully this was helpful, and DON’T FORGET to email me if you are using a FULL VERSION of PHOTOSHOP!
