C is for Color
The new Tip of the Week is up! It’s a great one, as usual, brought to us by Tye Durbin. Tye talks about how as photographers we are telling a story and we can use color to help express that.
Tye issues a challenge to take some photos and experiment with colors. I am going to do that this week and post them here for you to see.
Check it out and let us see some of your results. Leave a link to a photo on your blog, Flikr, etc. in a comment. The more discussion we have, the more can all learn together.

So I love this tip and I would like to add something as well… my friend, she has two daughters, one is 6 the other 3. She dresses them in the same dresses for photos alot even though they are not twins. The thing is, it creates great photos because one outfit’s color is not fighting against the other. They match and it doesnt make the photo seem so ‘busy’. Sometimes you can see photos of siblings or friends and one child has a yellow and black and green stripe shirt and the other has purple and white polka dots…. it works sometimes but more often than not, it will take your eye away from the faces….. I swear she gets the most beautiful photos EVERY time when she dresses them the same.

This is a great tip. Thanks so much for sharing Yelsaveta!!! It is a good thing to be aware of, even if we don’t dress them exactly the same, they often look best when color coordinated to some degree.
