Also, I would suggest (before converting to B&W) duplicate your original (ctrl+j) then convert that top layer to B&W and then lower the layer opacity just enough to allow some color through, this will make the colors "match" a bit more and give it a nice classic color tint. I guess this should be a tutorial... HUH?
