I have this unreasonable affinity for them. I think it is because when I was a teenager and bought a backpack to travel to Europe with, it was with Lowe Alpine. Now I love all of their products. I am with you on backing-up my photos. Luckily, I got an external hard drive for Christmas just for that reason. Now I just need to remember to use it. As for a camera bag...I just got the Lowepro SlingShot 350 AW and I absolutely love it. Right now it is a little overkill b/c I don't have a bunch of lenses but eventually I think it will be the perfect bag. The 350 not only holds my camera but it also holds my laptop as well as extra memory cards and a pleathora of other things.
